Terms of Service
Effective Date: 03/03/2025
Welcome to the official website of The Barbados Hotel & Tourism Association (BHTA) (“we,” “our,” or “us”). By accessing and using our website (the “Site”), you agree to comply with the following Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must discontinue use of the Site immediately.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By using the Site, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms of Service, including the payment obligations for membership (if applicable) and our Privacy Policy.
The BHTA reserves the right to update these Terms periodically. Continued use of the Site constitutes acceptance of any revised Terms. If changes impact membership fees or policies, members will be notified in advance.
2. Use of the Website
You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes and in a manner consistent with applicable laws and regulations. Specifically, you shall not:

- Use the Site for fraudulent or unlawful activities.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Site, including member-only areas.
- Copy, modify, distribute, or commercially exploit any content on the Site without written permission.
3. Membership, Payments, and Account Suspension
3.1 Membership Fees and Renewal
- BHTA membership requires an annual fee, which varies based on membership type and benefits.
- Members will receive a renewal notice two (2) months before their membership expiration date.
- If membership is not renewed before the expiration date, a grace period of three (3) months will be provided for payment.
- Membership fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated.
3.2 Account Suspension and Deletion
If a member fails to pay within three (3) months after the renewal date, their account and profile will be suspended, restricting access to member-only benefits and business listings.
If non-payment continues for twelve (12) months after the renewal date, The BHTA reserves the right to permanently delete the member’s profile and associated content from our systems.
3.3 Reinstatement of Suspended Accounts
Suspended accounts may be reinstated upon full payment of outstanding fees within the 12-month period. However, once an account is deleted, the member will need to reapply for membership and submit new profile information.
3.4 Changes to Membership Fees
The BHTA reserves the right to adjust membership fees and payment terms at any time. Members will be notified in advance of any fee changes. Continued membership after a fee update constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
